Generosity recognized by United Way
Renae Pierrard, Domtar Hawesville Campaign Coordinator, and Brian Wettstain, Local 1261 Vice President, proudly hold one of the three awards they received from the local United Way.
The United Way of the Ohio Valley-Hancock County recently recognized local businesses and residents for their generosity during the 2014-2015 campaign. The Hawesville Mill received the President’s Award for being the employer to attain the highest average gift per employee in the 100+ employee category. The mill raised over $95,000 of the total amount of $132,400 for all of Hancock County.
The mill also received the Campaign Chairman’s Award, which is presented to the employee group/groups demonstrating the greatest overall achievement and impact on the current year’s campaign. In addition, Hawesville was the recipient of the Community Spirit Award in recognition for maintaining per capita giving at the $50 level and above for two or more consecutive years.
These awards recognize the outstanding generosity of Domtar, the Hawesville Mill, members of Local 1261, and all employees, towards the success of the surrounding communities.Share
