Educators Visit Mill

15 area educators learned more about the Nekoosa Mill and educational opportunities during their visit.

A group 15 of local educators from the Nekoosa, Port Edwards and Wisconsin Rapids school districts visited Domtar in July as part of a week-long, credited course sponsored by Incourage Community Foundation. The program invites educators to visit various businesses in order to develop a better understanding of the importance of education to the success of business.

The group was given an overview and tour of the pulp and paper mill. After the tour, they learned about Nekoosa’s hiring process, the necessary skills to be a successful employee and our future employment needs. The teachers were most curious about the skills needed to work at Domtar and how they could communicate this experience to their students. We look forward to working with educators as we develop and expand our business and education partnerships.
