ECA Spotlight

In preparation for the winter months, ambassadors put protective wrap around trees at the Nekoosa Recreation Park to protect them from deer and rodent damage in the fall and winter. This is the tree that was planted during Nekoosa’s 2015 EarthWeek.

The team registered for Wisconsin’s Adopt-A-Highway program and cleaned up a one-mile stretch of highway that passes the Nekoosa Mill.

Nekoosa’s Ambassadors outdid themselves this year at the Nekoosa Hometown Christmas celebration. A parade float was built with a gingerbread man theme, with lots of lights and music. The float supported the theme of a
partnership with a local Head Start, where volunteers read “gingerbread” books with preschool children. The children enjoyed the books and having their pictures taken on the float.
