Domtar supports community groups

During the night of May 19, 2013, a raging fire completely destroyed the St. Philip the Apostle Church in Windsor. Lost in the fire were not only a place of worship for parishioners but also the premises and equipment of several community organizations that operated out of the church basement.

Recognizing the impact on these organizations dedicated to helping the needy, Domtar offered a $50,000 donation over two years in support of the community vocation of a new multi-functional building. Domtar’s gift was highly appreciated by the affected community groups.

One year after the fire, local officials held a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction of the new building.
